China Trip - December 27-29, 2004
Today we had more visitors to help welcome Elisa to Canada. Elisa's Aunt Lorelei, Uncle Tim and Cousins Bridget, Meghan and Jack drove from Mt. Prospect, IL for a one-night visit.

This morning (Monday, Dec 27th), the Windsor Star published an article about Elisa on page 2. Later in the morning, some flowers and a Teddy Bear were delivered by a family we did not recognize. Perhaps readers of the Star? Many friends called members of the family after reading the article. Even the flower delivery guy, the cashier at the Mini restaurant, and many people that Zia Linda and Zio John met at the shopping mall mentioned the article.

Elisa's Aunt Nancy and Uncle Ross sent a beautiful poem that Nancy learned as a child.

Tina also came by for a visit with her sons, Michael and Christian.
Robert also came for a visit, bringing Elisa's first long sleeveless gown. He also brought some Champagne, admonished Elisa's parents to never stop drinking champagne, and advised Elisa to always look for the Prada label.

Here is our little Christmas present! Rita made this box for us to use to make a Christmas card picture. Elisa is not so sure about this idea.
Since Elisa must be thinking that a flash goes off whenever she sees her Daddy, and since her Daddy needs to go back to work to start earning money to pay for Elisa's college education, we'll stop now with the daily updates. Thanks to all of our friends and family who have shown such interest and love for our precious daughter. We'll continue to update this scrapbook with more pictures and links, particularly with some of the additional orphanage pictures we have received, the official documents for the adoption, and pictures from when Elisa meets Richard and Lydia, John, Sarah, Maggie, Max, Nancy and Ross and other family and friends. And of course more pictures of the entertaining things that Elisa does as she grows.
